Tensions are simmering the Roosters
A sure try was botched because Suaalii didn’t pass to Tedesco, who had a clear path ahead of him.
It wasn’t unexpected. With both Suaalii and Tedesco coming off contract at the end of 2024, and both preferring the no. 1 position, there is clearly tension in the air.
The Roosters cruised to a convincing victory with a 20-12 win over the Warriors, however, there was a social media storm over what looked like Suaalii deliberately not passing the ball to an open Tedesco for an easy try.
Instead Suaalii took the line on himself. Though he did manage to burst though, he was eventually tackled on the break, and yet again he opted to pass to another Roosters player (Sam Walker), instead of Tedesco who was running in support.
Something will need to give soon, because teamwork is paramount to the success of any team. And the season has only just begun.
It just may turn out to be a very long season.
