Let’s start with processing a deposit using Interac Online, by far the easiest and quickest method.

It only takes 2 minutes to see if this option works. If not, we proceed to use the Interac e-Transfer.


Step 1. Log in to Online Casino

It doesn’t have to be Sloty, per our example. Can be any online casino that accepts Interac as a payment method.

Note – If you do not have a members account, proceed with registering first, then return to Step 1.

Step 2. Go to Cashier Deposit Section

In our example, the Deposit button resides at the top right of the screen.

Check the deposit amount before clicking on Continue to confirm and proceed.

Step 6. Log in to Financial Institution

After selecting your Financial Institution, you will be directed to log in to your online banking account.

Explanation – Interac Online is connected to your card(s). It is relatively common for a card not to be supported. Examples include CIBC and Scotiabank customers whereby Interac Online is not available to them, but Interac e-Transfer is.

If Interac Online is not supported by your financial institution, proceed with Interac e-Transfer.

Or if you want to use Interac e-Transfer without trying Interac Online, go direct to Step 3.

Note – This guide will only take 3 minutes to read and to process the deposit.

Step 1. Unsupported Message

As mentioned previously, you have received a message that indicated Interac Online is not available to you.

The message – You do not have any eligible Access Card / Accounts for this transaction. [CARD]

Click on Return to Merchant Web Site.

Step 2. Return to Merchant Website

You will receive confirmation that your Interac Online transaction is cancelled.

Step 3. Click on Interac e-Transfer icon

You may need to log back in to the online casino account.

Once you are in, go back to the Cashier and Deposit section.

Click on the Interac e-Transfer icon.

(Usually found next to Interac Online icon, if there was one available).

Note – If neither Interac e-Transfer or Online is available, you have chosen an online casino that does not accept Interac as a payment method. Return to the list of recommended Best Interac Casinos and choose one.

Step 4. Enter Deposit Amount

After clicking on Interac e-Transfer, enter deposit amount.

Click Continue to confirm.

Note – If there is a Welcome Bonus or Bonus to be claimed, check the box and complete the bonus process as guided by the online casino.

Step 5. Click Continue to confirm

Check the deposit amount before clicking on Continue to confirm and proceed.

Step 6. Gigadat Gateway

You are now in the Gigadat gateway!

  1. Note – Recipient is Gigadat
  2. Record the Recipient Email.

You can either Copy:

The code will need to be used at a later step to release the deposit.

Note:

  • The Recipient is always Gigadat
  • The Recipient Email address will vary between Interac Casinos. In our example the email address is: order@orderdeposit.com. BUT this may be different for other Interac Casinos. DO NOT COPY THE EMAIL IN OUR EXAMPLE BECAUSE YOURS COULD BE DIFFERENT.
  • The Message code is a mixture of numbers and letters.
  • There is a Security Question and Answer. This could be different for each Interac Casino. But it shouldn’t be required to complete the Interac e-Transfer process because of the autodeposit feature.
  • Lastly, there is a time limitation of 10 minutes before the Interac e-Transfer transaction expires. Try and not let the transaction expire, because it has been known to cause issues for the Online Casino.

Step 7. Log in to Financial Institution

Proceed with logging into your Financial Institution. Use your online banking credentials, Username and Password.

Click Logon.

Step 8. Select Interac e-Transfer

Find the Interac e-Transfer button and click on it.

Tip – Sometimes, the Interac e-Transfer option is found in the Menu headings.

Note – In our example, it is found on the left hand side, in addition under My Accounts there is also an option to select Interac e-Transfer.

Step 9. Choose your account

Tip – We highly recommend choosing your Savings account.

Usually lower transaction fees are incurred on a Savings account rather than a Cheque account.

Note – these transaction fees are not Interac fees, but your Financial Institution fees.

Step 10. Create the payee Gigadat

You may need to create Gigadat as the online banking contact/payee.

To create the payee use:

  • Gigadat as the Recipient
  • The Recipient Email address as provided by the Gigadat gateway

Step 11. Paste your Message Code

Make a payment choosing the Recipient as Gigadat.

Populate the Amount field with your deposit amount.

In the Message box, paste the code, that you had previously copied from the Gigadat gateway.

Example Code only. Do NOT use the example Code.

Alternatively, type the Message Code in.

Double check that the code is correct.

Note:

  • The Recipient is always Gigadat and the Recipient Email address is pre-populated in our example. If an email address is required, use the one provided in the Gigadat Gateway where the Message Code was obtained.
  • There should not be a need to populate a Security Question and Answer. If there is, refer back to the Security Question and Answer that you took note of at the Gigadat Gateway.

Step 12. Click Next

In our example, we need to scroll further down the screen to click Next.

You may not have to scroll, but you will be required to click “Next” or “Confirm” to move to the next screen.

Step 13. Send Money

Before clicking Send, Check the following:

  • The recipient is Gigadat
  • The Recipient Email is per the Gigadat gateway
  • The Message code is correct

Click Send money

Note:

In our example that online casino has established an Autodeposit. This avoids the need for you to complete the Security Question and Answer.

Your online banking may label the action button differently, such as Send, Make Payment, or Pay.

Step 14. Transaction Confirmation

Your transaction is now confirmed!

Step 15. Check Online Casino Balance

Avoid Common Mistakes

The Recipient is an online casino name – the Recipient should always be Gigadat, NOT the name of the online casino.

The Recipient Email is the online casino email address – the Recipient Email should be the same as provided via the Gigadat gateway. Do NOT use the email address of the online casino.

The Message Code Copied and Pasted was performed with a typo – Double check that the Message code entered in the online banking Interac e-Transfer is the same as the Message code supplied in the Gigadat gateway.

The player has forgotten which Interac Casino they had signed up to – this maybe surprising, however some players do not recall which Online Casino they had created the player account on. They infact complete the Online Banking Interac e-Transfer, but do not remember which online casino to log back into.

An Interac e-Transfer is made without first going through the online casino Deposit methods page – the player made a payment via Interac e-Transfer directly from online banking. A Message Code is provided, but there is no way any Interac Casino can use it to pull the funds, because the process should be first triggered from their Deposit page.

Comparing Interac with other Payment Methods

There are a variety of other online payments that are used in Canada. We compare how they fare against Interac.

PayPal – one of the most well known digital e-wallets in the world. Created by Elon Musk it is used by many for e-commerce purchases. It is the most used online payment method, but for Canadians and casinos, it is not widely available. You will find, (or rather not find) any online casino that accepts PayPal as a payment method.

I made an Interac e-Transfer deposit, but I don't know which Interac Casino it went to?

This is a common mistake, whereby an adhoc payment was made by first going straight to Interac e-Transfer via your online banking, and entering Gigadat as the recipient and an email address. Subsequently a Security Question and Answer maybe populated and a Message Code recorded.

In this example, the funds have left the account and has gone to Gigadat, but no Interac Casino has been engaged.

To resolve this, pick an Interac Casino, and tell them to pull your deposit via their Interac e-Transfer process. Most will not be able to do this because the Interac e-Transfer was not initiated through their site , but it’s worth a try. They will need to know the Answer to the Security Question you created (if you made one) and the Message code.

If there continues to be an issue, reach out to Gigadat and inform them that an error was made in processing an Interac e-Transfer, and could they please return the funds.


What should I do first to initiate an Interac Casino deposit?

After creating a members account with the Interac Casino that you would like to play with, you should first ALWAYS go to the Casino’s Cashier | Deposit page and then click on either Interac Online or Interac e-Transfer.
